For my Passion Project, I started the HWD 3D Printing and Design Lab for Homewood High School. My goal was to have a space for teachers and students to be able to use for individual and classroom projects. During this process, I researched and met with several companies and other educators to determine the appropriate hardware and software needs to meet my goals. In the end, I use a combination of design software including Canva, TinkerCad, Fusion, and 3DPrinterOS software with BambuLab printers and a variety of filament. This process has opened up many opportunites for collaboration with other professionals as well as with my teachers and students. It has also allowed me to deepen my understanding of design, and the applications of 3D printing in the real world. I look forward to continuing this program, and creating a digital badging Schoology course to teach them all of the tips and tricks I learned along the way to help set them up for success.
